Climate Resilient & Sustainable Agriculture Project (CRESAP)
Farmers can take advantage of this new project where they can receive financial assistance in the form of a loan and a grant portion that will be paid off from CRESAP.
The program aims to:
- Promote Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) technologies and sustainable farming practices.
- Strengthen resilience to climate change and support environmental sustainability.
- Increase productivity and income for farmers.
Beneficiaries and Target groups
Every farmer can take advantage of this project, for example:
- Small Farmers
- Youth Farmers
- Women Farmers
- Medium & Larger Farmers
- Farmer Organizations
- Schools
- Farm Size: 0.5 to 20 acres under cultivation
- Grant Covers: 60% of the total Climate Smart Agriculture investment cost
- Grant Ceiling: BZE $12,000 per farmer
- Farmer’s Contribution: Required to cover 40% of the total Climate Smart Agriculture in the form of credit or contribution
- Farm Size: over 20 acres under cultivation
- Grant Covers: 30% of the total Climate Smart Agriculture investment cost
- Grant Ceiling: BZE $60,000 per farmer
- Farmer’s Contribution: Required to cover 70% of the total Climate Smart Agriculture in the form of credit and Contribution.
